M is an app for finding plots and houses in Uganda. This policy explains what information M collects, why, and your choices. Contact: [add your contact email here].

Information we collect

Account: your email address and a password (stored securely by our login provider, never in readable form).
Seller details: business name, location, years of operation, WhatsApp number, and the documents you upload to confirm them. Documents are private and visible only to you and M's reviewers.
Listings: photos, videos, descriptions, prices, plot sizes and map pins. These are public.
Comments and ratings: public.
Viewing requests: your name, phone number and preferred date, visible to the seller and M.
Device storage: your theme, saved listings and recently loaded listings are kept on your phone so M works faster and offline.

M does not show adverts and does not sell your information.

How we use it

To run the app: show listings, connect buyers and sellers, verify sellers, send notifications, prevent fraud and improve M.

Who processes your data

We use Supabase (database, login and file storage) and Cloudflare (hosting). They process data on our behalf.

Keeping and deleting your data

You can delete your account at any time in Settings, then Delete my account. This removes your profile, listings, comments, ratings and viewing requests. Backups and copies already made by others, such as a shared link, may remain for a short time.

Security

We use protections provided by our hosting providers. No online service is perfectly secure, so please use a strong password and never share it.

Children

M is not for people under 18.

Your rights

Under the Uganda Data Protection and Privacy Act, 2019, you may ask to see, correct or delete your personal data. Contact us using the email above.

Changes

We may update this policy and will change the date above when we do.

Counting visits

M counts how many devices open the app each day. It uses a random anonymous ID stored on your device. This ID contains no name, email or phone number and is not linked to your account.

Listing views and contact taps

M counts how many people view a listing and tap its call or WhatsApp button, so sellers can see which properties get interest. These counts use the same anonymous device ID and, if you are logged in, your account.
